street missions at a short range...

Why these more ordinary missions - always totally relying on divine providence - through the streets of the city or local diocese?

Our journeys at a short range develop naturally in the course of our daily lives (when, for example, we go out to ask for basic necessities), or through the hitchhikes we make in the diocese, given that we like to travel about and receive communion from all the priests of the diocese, in order to encounter even more people along the road--always in order to bring them back again to the House of the Father which is the Church (cf. 1 Tim. 3:15) or to strengthen what they already have, inviting (or re-inviting) them to persevere in receiving (and living) the Eucharist: as did Jesus with the disciples of Emmaus, whose eyes were opened and who recognized Him in the breaking of the bread, saying, "Did not a fire burn in our chest while He explained to us the meaning of the Scriptures?"  (cf. Lk 24:32).
